Indygo is an original art ceramics studio. Dominika Karczewska designs and makes art ceramics and holds classes and workshops to teach others how to handle clay. The studio is open both to children and adults.
Clay is a good material to work with, enabling anybody to make something interesting. During the classes, apart from learning the techniques, you can also spend some time in a pleasant way and do something creative together. Ceramics classes are a good method of discovering and developing the talents of your children. By kneading and modelling clay, children also expand their artistic imagination, aesthetic sensitivity and manual abilities. Clay requires mental as well as physical effort because the children have to come up with their own ideas and decide what to make of the pieces of clay they are holding. Working with clay is also a fun activity for adults as it helps them to forget their various daily problems and obligations. In a pleasant atmosphere and inspiring setting, everyone can discover their artistic spirit!
The Indygo art ceramics studio also organizes courses and workshops created to teach people how to design and make their own ceramic products. This offer is addressed both to children and adults, to beginners and to those who already have some experience with clay. The program of the workshops includes the basics of making pottery and decorations, ceramic jewelry, glazing and painting, using the pottery wheel and firing in a professional kiln. During classes, you will learn about the pottery-making process and about the different types of clay and their uses. You will be taught how to model and glaze. You can also make clay pottery, jewelry or sculptures of your own design and take them home after they are fired.
