Neuromathematics and CLIL Science, i.e. we teach the techniques of fast mental arithmetic in English as the Official Partner of the Soroban Association in Japan.
Aneta Grzanek is the first European and one of the two certified Soroban trainers in Poland recorded in the register of trainers in Japan. She established the Superminds Academy to prepare the young generation for the challenges of the high-tech world of the future. Her program is a combination of fast calculations in memory, Japanese mental arithmetic, and LEGO Maths with English and the sciences. All of these skills are practiced during each single lesson in accordance with the CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning) philosophy.
Today, it is precisely at OFF Piotrkowska Center that the Superminds team is embarking on an education revolution, transforming children and adults into human calculators, all this while having great fun. Neuromathematics trainers teach math using LEGO bricks and introduce techniques for multiplying multi-digit numbers in memory, while CLIL Science trainers work on language skills and knowledge of science and business. The children work together in teams under the watchful eye of an English-speaking professor, with whom they conclude business transactions by buying and selling the products they have made.
