Spółdzielnia (cooperative) is a place built on the principles of cooperation, continuous improvement and openness. If you are looking for a quiet and calm restaurant, it will not be the best choice. However, if you like being among people, and enjoy bustling places with an an informal atmosphere ideal for meeting with friends – you are in the right place.
Skateboards, snowboard equipment, shoes and clothes – although it is difficult to believe today, the space of the popular “Spółdzielnia” was once occupied by a sports equipment wholesale outlet run by Tomek Frant, an enthusiast of extreme sports who was engaged in import and distribution of skateboards and snowboards. However, this business model slowly stopped working, since the tastes and expectations of people visiting the OFF Piotrkowska Center were changing. So the owners decided to seize the opportunity to change the use of the place and their life.
It all started with Eco Market, which Tomek’s wife, Dominika, decided to organize at OFF. This small step to start a new business appeared to be a huge leap to the restaurant world. A restaurant named “Spółdzielnia” was opened and its concept, decor and menu appeared to great success. It is now one of the most popular places, not only in OFF, but in the whole city. Under the renovated neon sign of a grocery store there is a meeting place for different groups of guests who like to be among people and share a positive attitude to life. You will find here an authentic wood fired pizza oven, a well stocked bar, and mainly a unique relaxing atmosphere created by casual decor and a smiling team.
